Elizabeth (DiBiaso) Chones

Elizabeth (DiBiaso) Chones passed away peacefully on May 19. She was born July 12, 1927, in Springfield, MA. She was a daughter to the late Filippo and Filomena (Festa) DiBiaso. Betty was employed by the City of Springfield for many years before retiring in 1998. She enjoyed golfing at the Ludlow Country Club, activities at the East Longmeadow Senior Center and attending St. George Orthodox Cathedral for many years before mobing to Indiana. She was married to George J. Chones until his passing in 1991. Betty is survived by her daughter Phyllis Chones-Colvett and husband John; daughter Angela (Chones) Calliotte and husband Robert; grandchildren Vince and Heather. Betty's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Traditions at North Willow for the loving care given to her. Funeral services were at St. George Cathedral in Springfield, MA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you give a donation to your favorite charity.
