Elizabeth "Betty" Louise Foster

Elizabeth “Betty” Louise (Poland) Foster 89 of Indianapolis passed away September 13, 2018. Betty was born on July 21, 1929 in Indianapolis to Wilfred Leslie and Pauline Frances (Kirk) Poland.  Betty was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church where she gave of her time talent and treasure.  She was a Past Matron and Secretary of the Order of Eastern Star Carmel Chapter #494, now Radiant Chapter #200.  She also was Past Guardian of Jobs Daughters, Bethel 83.  Betty was preceded in death by her husband Robert Wayne Foster and her son Stephen Floyd Foster.  Although Betty worked as a clerk and receptionist for the Clay Township Assessors Office retiring in 2006, she spent many years previous to that as a homemaker and Avon representative. Calling will be held on Friday September 21, 2018 at Flanner Buchanan-Carmel 325 East Carmel Drive Carmel, IN 46032 from 4 to 8 pm with an O.E.S. service at 7:30 pm.  Saturday September 22, 2018 there will be calling at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church 445 East 111^th Street Indianapolis, IN 46280 from 10 to 11 am followed by the funeral service at 11 am.  Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery Fishers, IN.  Betty is survived by her children; Jerry (Paula) Foster, Paula (Michael) Paul and Martha Sholty and her 8 grandchildren; Celeste (Jeremy) Keen, Nicholas (Amanda) Foster, Colin (Loriann) Foster, Lindsay (Michael) Bruce, Christopher (Christina Bailey-Klaas) Paul, Stephanie (Lance) Lees, Kristina Sholty and Stephen Sholty and her 12 great grandchildren; Chantay, Austin, Keri, Ryan, Levi, Jackson, Michael, Cameran, Colin, Chloe, Liam and Lily.  Memorial contributions may be given to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church 445 East 111^th Street Indianapolis, IN 46280.  Online condolences and a video tribute may be viewed at www.flannerbuchanan.com
