Elizabeth Anne Bays

Elizabeth A. Bays 95, of Indianapolis passed away on May 12, 2015. She was born on December 30, 1919 to the late Grover and Lillie Fuller. Elizabeth graduated from Fishers HS and received her Bachelor's Degree from Ball State in 1943 and her Master's in Education from Butler University in 1966. She was a longtime educator with over 50 years of experience, she taught in Jay County, McCordsville, Adams Township, MDS Warren Township and received numerous awards and certificates throughout her career. Elizabeth was awarded Teacher of the Year 1979-1980. She retired in June of 1986. She was a sister of Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority for over 50 years. Elizabeth was member of Franklin Road Baptist Church since 1955. August 15, 1944, she married William C. Bays and was a devoted and loving wife until his passing in 2005. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband and daughter, Carita Joyce Noe. She is survived by her grandchildren, Shawn P. Noe, Cynthia Anne Noe, William E. Noe and step-granddaughter, Robin Laurie Noe, sister, Nora (Sylvan) Hanson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Franklin Road Baptist Church, 51 N. Franklin Rd, Indpls, IN 46219.
