Elizabeth Ann Chamberlin, 90, of Indianapolis died on Sunday, March 27, 2022, after nearly a year of illness.
Born in Kansas City, Missouri, on January 28, 1932, she was the only child of Howard and Kathleen Moore. Elizabeth attended Westport High School in Kansas City, graduating from the same high school that her father attended. She also attended William Jewell College and Kansas University, graduating with a degree in education.
Elizabeth is survived by her four daughters: Deborah (Russ Horner) and Kathryn (Russell Mace) of North Ferrisburgh, Vermont, and Diane Radez of Indianapolis and Jennifer Warner of Greenwood. Her three grandchildren: Angela, Aaron, and Michael and two great grandchildren: Lupita and Yoanna, also survive her. Elizabeth worked for the Nora branch of the Indianapolis Public Library for over 20 years. For over 30 years, she also worked as a docent and later as a volunteer at the Conner Prairie Museum which brought her great joy and many lasting friendships.
Elizabeth enjoyed travel and made many trips to places like Alaska, Florida, Hawaii, Vermont, Ireland, and the Caribbean Islands over the years. She also loved to visit the Rocky Mountains of Colorado each summer, staying at the YMCA camp in Estes Park.
A memorial gathering will be from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Flanner Buchanan – Carmel, 325 East Carmel Drive.
