Elizabeth Aileen Hill Perkins passed away on September 18, 2025. She was born on August 6, 1933, in Indianapolis, Indiana to William M. Hill and Myrtle "Mimi" D. (Midkiff) Hill. Elizabeth graduated from Washington High School in 1952. She was employed for many years with Air Applications and later worked at the Oxford Shop for 12 years. Elizabeth loved to entertain, cook, and play bridge. She was a committed member of the Women's group at Trinity Episcopal Church where she presided as President for 4 years. She was a dear friend to many and never met a stranger, but her biggest joy in life was her family. She was an utterly devoted daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, and wife. Elizabeth was always kind, caring, good humored, and a model of poise. Those around her could easily feel her love and joyful energy. She was affectionately known as Mommom to her grandchildren whom she treasured.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her devoted husband of 62 years, Joseph Ward Perkins; sister, Juanita Fay Almas; and brother, Warren Hill. She is survived by her children, Joe (Tracey) Perkins, William "Bill" (Connie) Perkins, and Elizabeth (Lee) Christie; grandchildren Charles (Sara) Perkins, Lendsay (Ben) Limmerman, Ali (Kyle) Hohlier, Joey (Sara) Perkins, Liza Christie, and Steven Christie; and two great-grandchildren Harper Hohlier and Noah Perkins. She also held a special love for her four step-grandchildren Ryan (Carman) Christie and their children Lila and Abe, Craig Christie, Stacey Christie, and Kyle Christie. A special appreciation to dear family members including cherished nieces and nephews in the Almas and Bannister families. In addition, a sincere thank you for the loving care from the Robin Run Assisted Living Facility and the Transitions Hospice team.
Funeral services will be on September 22, 2025, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 3243 North Meridian Street, Indianapolis, Indiana with visitation at 12:00 pm and service beginning at 1:00 pm. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church to assist in their support of the church and surrounding neighborhood.
