Eli West

Eli West, 56, of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2011. He was born on September 27, 1954 in Welch, West Virginia to Azra and Betty I. (Lester) West. Eli worked in the West Virginia coal mines for 30 years before moving to Indianapolis. He worked for ETS as a forklift driver for 12 years. Eli enjoyed camping and fishing and tending his vegetable garden. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Wanda West; children, Amy Church and Amanda West; stepchildren, Chrissy Brown and John Wayne Marshall. Eli is also survived by his sisters, Thelma (James) Sosbe, Barbara (Charlie) Harper and Brenda Grahm. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Mac and Hanson West; sister, Katie West. A memorial service will be held at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center- Floral Park on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 6pm, with visitation 2 hours prior.
