Eleanora E. Miles

Mrs. Eleanora E. Miles 94, Indianapolis, died July 1, 2015. Eleanora was born July 30, 1920 in East St. Louis, IL to the late John Elmer Valentine and Marion (Fuqua) Hanson. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Edgar E. Miles, 2 brothers, 1 sister, and 4 grandchildren. Eleanora is best known as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend. Her family was a significant part of her life. Her gift was her ability to touch each person's life that she met through her selfless and caring personality. Her compassionate nature for others was never-ending. Whether a neighbor, a close friend or a family member, she was always there to help. She was the ROCK of the family. She had a continuous and great devotion for her family. A loving and giving mother who is survived by her loving children; Larry (Judy) Miles, Mary (Lenny) Burnell, Verna (Bob) Hiatt, Mike (Shirley) Miles, Rosemary Shepard, and Jim (Rachel) Miles; 26 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren and a host of family, relatives and friends. Family and friends may call Monday July 6, 2015 from 4pm-8pm at Flanner and Buchanan –Washington Park North. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Monica Catholic Church 6131 N. Michigan Rd on Tuesday July 7, 2015 at 11am, with one hour of calling prior to mass. Entombment will be in Washington Park North Cemetery.
