Eleanor G. Noel

Eleanor G. Noel passed peacefully on March 22, 2016. Born in Chicago, IL, the oldest of 5 siblings, she was a WWII Navy Veteran. While based in Vero Beach, FL she met Robert Noel from Linton, IN. They married in Chicago on May 22nd, 1946 and settled in Indianapolis. She worked at the IU Dental School, Kittle’s, and Continental Foods.

Bob predeceased her after 68 years of marriage in October, 2014. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Chris), daughters, Susan (Tim) Buckley, Deborah (Keith) Eckler; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
She will be remembered lovingly as a lady of her era, always well-dressed and coifed, and a lover of a good sale.
Private graveside services will be held Friday at Crown Hill Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Zionsville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
