Edward Suda

Edward J. “Rocky” Suda, 74 of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, March 25, 2016 at his home. Rocky was born August 25, 1941 in Larksville, PA to the late Joseph A. and Katherine Suda. He served in the US Navy from 1960-1964.

Rocky worked at Rock Island Refinery for 25 years. Following their closure, he worked as a pump mechanic at Warner Todd. Rocky enjoyed all outdoor activities; he was an avid hunter, and loved fishing and camping. He will be remembered as an active neighborhood volunteer. Whether it was mowing the church property, providing snow removal or general assistance, Rocky could be counted on to help.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, March 29 from 3:00 to 8:00 at Flanner and Buchanan-Carmel. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am on Wednesday, March 30 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church 4217 N. Central Indianapolis, IN 46205.

Rocky is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jessie; his children, Anthony J. (wife, Lisa) Suda, Bryan E. Suda and Tami A. Cloud; his adoring 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; sister, Jenny Williams; brothers, Donald (wife, Diane) Suda and Timmy Suda.
