Edward “Sonny” Earl Beckner, 79, of Indianapolis died January 30, 2016.
Sonny was born July 26, 1936 in Washington, Missouri to Earl H. and Lucy M. (nee Billings) Beckner. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #17, Masonic Lodge of Englewood (where he was a Past Master), and the VFW of Evansville. He also served in the United States Air Force.
Sonny is survived by his wife Imogene Beckner; children Clay (Kim) Beckner, Cary Beckner, Thomas (Jessica) Beckner, Nicole (Jeff) Franklin, David (Sheila) Fowler, and Christopher (Sondra) Mullen; step-daughter Sharon (William) Cooper; sister Joann (Chester) Pruessner; grandchildren Brandon, Daniel, Mikey, Maggie, Nick, Evan, Regan, Kristina, Kandi, Kyle, Krystal, Elishia, Jennah, and Jonathon; great-grandchildren Summer, Savanna, Marcus, Lily, Hayden, Dean, Isaiah, Ty, Aria, Jaxson, and Ileiah; step-grandchildren Brandon and Tamara; and step great-grandchildren Rachel, Lindsay, Sarah, Megan and Vanessa, as well as many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held Sunday, February 7 from 10 AM to 2 PM at Flanner and Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington, Indianapolis with Services beginning at 2 PM. Burial will take place at 10 AM on Monday, February 8 at Memorial Park Cemetery.
