Edward Ronald Mahler

Edward R. Mahler, 71, of Avon, passed away on July 2nd. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and worked later as a land surveyor in several states, finally retiring in Texas before returning to Indiana. Ed enjoyed the outdoors, golf and his 2 dogs, Gretel and Bailey. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Helen Mahler Sieg, a brother, David and step-father, Bill Sieg Sr. Ed is survived by daughter, Melissa (Matt) Johanningsmeier of Austin, TX; brother, Dr. Thomas A. (Kathy) Mahler of Brownsburg; sister-in-law, Donna Mahler of Avon; step-brothers, Bill Sieg,Jr of Westfield and Gary (Diana) Sieg of Greensburg. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and 2 aunts. There will be no services scheduled in accordanuce with Ed's wishes. Memorial contributions may be given to the Richard L.
