Edward Lee Schmitt

Edward Lee Schmitt: Ed Schmitt was born to Francis and Laura Schmitt on Aug. 20, 1954 in McHenry Illinois. Ed died peacefully in his home on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014. Ed was an esteemed engineer at Raytheon, an active member of St. Lawrence church, belonging to St. Peter Claver Society and was a long time Hospitality Minister. Ed was also an active member of CASA as a child advocate, mentoring many children; the Indianapolis Zoo and Conner Prairie. Everyone who knew Ed, knows of his great love for anything SciFi. Ed is survived by his beloved wife, Therese, his mother and 2 brothers. He is preceded in death by his father. Visitation is from 4-8 PM at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014. The rosary will be a t 7:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Lawrence Catholic Church on Wed., Nov. 12, 2014 at 10:00 AM, followed by burial at Our Lady of Peace cemetery. Flowers are welcome as well as contributions made to the Indianapolis CASA program.
