Edward "Ed" LaFavers, of Greenfield, Indiana, passed away on October 3, 2026, at the age of 88.
Ed was born on April 8, 1938, in Russell Springs, Kentucky, to Ethard LaFavers and Bertha Marie Smith LaFavers.

His practical knowledge, wisdom, and resourcefulness will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Ed is survived by his wife, Leona LaFavers; his son, Henry Duane LaFavers and his wife, Carolyn; his daughter, Dina Lee Fadely, whose husband, Mark Fadely, preceded Ed in death; his grandchildren, Jack Henry Fadely, Kirsten Fadely, Thea Szczepanski, and Elana Szczepanski; his sisters, Darlene Brown, Fern Burton, Mary Owens (Roy), and Mildred Oaks; his brother, Delmer LaFavers (Elsie); his brother-in-law, Ricky Sexton; and many extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Zelmer, Truman, and Denzil; his sisters, Eva Irene Flynn, Barbara Lafavers, and Janice Johnson; and his brothers-in-laws, Cletus Burton, Athel Brown, and Clyde Oaks.
