Edsel E. Lewis 82 of Indianapolis, IN died on March 10, 2011. Edsel was born November 26, 1928 in London, KY to Leander and Nellie (Johnson) Lewis. Edsel was a veteran of the U. S. Army during Korea Conflict. Edsel was a member of the Carpenters Local #60 and the American Legion Post 711 Indianapolis and Moose Lodge #1269 Lebanon, IN. He loved to fish, play cards gardening and golf and he loved the Colts. Calling will be Saturday March 12, 2011 from 4 PM to 8 PM at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center Washington Park North. Additional calling will be Sunday from 11 AM to service time at Noon at the funeral center. Edsel is survived by his wife Mary Elizabeth (Bernhardt) Lewis and sons Albert L. and Greg A. (Linda) and John E. (Janie) Lewis grandchildren Amy and Danny Lewis and Norma Roberts and LeAnn Spratt and two great grandchildren Trey and Karli Roberts. He is also survived by his siblings Florence (Russell) Graham, Mary Jones, Susie (James) Hedge and Elzie (Joann) Lewis. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
