Edmond John Gryszowka

August 8, 1919 — January 8, 2015

Edmond John Gryszowka, 95, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015. He was born in Palmer, MA on August 8, 1919 to Jan and Josefat (Sirin) Gryszowka. Edmond served our country in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of the VFW and American Legion Post 64. He was also a Gold Badge member of the Indianapolis 500 Old Timers Club and enjoyed bowling in leagues at Eaglebowl. Edmond was a longtime member of Eagledale/Crosspointe Baptist Church and worked as an Operating Engineer for Thompson Construction, retiring in 1982. He is survived by his sons, Tony, Stan (Marsha), Dave, Paul (Jackie) and Roger; 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Edmond was preceded in death by his loving wife, Pearl M. Gryszowka; son, Mike Gryszowka; and daughter-in-law, Sharon Gryszowka. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 12, 2015 at 1pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Speedway with visitation from 11am-1pm. Burial will follow in Lincoln Memory Gardens, Whitestown. Memorial contributions may be made to Crosspointe Baptist Church, Indianapolis. Friends are invited to leave online condolences for the family at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
