Edith L. Brown Cherry

Edith I. Brown Cherry Age 74 of Fairland, passed away Friday, July 6, 2012. She loved to cook for her family and she loved her grandchildren. She had worked at RCA and at time of her retirement she worked for United States Postal Services as a mail carrier. Edith was preceded in death by her son William Mark Cherry, brothers Arnold G., Joseph C., and James Robert Brown, sisters Bessie B. Crawford, Ethel P. Johnson and Charlotte Brown. Edith is survived by her loving husband Glenn W., Children Cynthia K. Arbuckle, Sandra K. Simpson, David R. Simpson, Roy Simpson Jr., Lyndsey Simpson, Michael (Cheryl) Cherry and Sherry R. (Robert) Feeney, Brothers Arthur P. (Donna), Walter A. (Jolanda), Kenneth R. (Sherry) Brown, sisters Maredia (Jesse) Hardin, Patricia Smith, Sharon K. (Greg) Steele, several grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, July 9. 2012 from Flanner and Buchanan –Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street from 4-8 pm. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 11 am at the funeral center. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
