Edith Frances Charles

Edith Frances Charles, 87, passed away on May 25, 2023.

She was born on July 16, 1935, in Kentucky, to Albert and Ethel (Coleman) Wilson.

Edith graduated from Belfry High School in Belfry, KY in 1953. In High School, Edith met the love of her life, Donald Lee Charles. After graduating High School, Edith and Don married on May 15, 1953. Recently, on May 15, 2023, they celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary. Over the next few years, Don and Edith had 3 children – Marsha Kaye, Donald “Lee” Jr. and Joseph (Joe) Leslie.

She is survived by her loving husband, Donald Charles; daughter, Marsha (Paul) Huber; her grandchildren, Melissa (Ryan) Rees, Dustin (Amber) Charles, David (Allyson) Charles, Matthew Charles, and Sarah Charles; her great grandchildren, Aaron Arkeneau, Andrew Arkeneau, Mirenne Arkeneau, Luke Adams, Levi Arkeneau, Taylor Charles, Cadyn Charles, Gavin Charles, Eli Charles, and Jack Vasquez.

Edith was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sons, Lee and Joe.

A private entombment will take place in Washington Park East Cemetery.
