Edis E. 'Gene' Pittman

Edis E. "Gene" Pitman 90 of Indianapolis died June 18, 2012. Gene was born on July 14, 1921 in Connersville, IN to Ralph and Katherine L. (Perry) Pitman. Gene was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He drove truck for Eastern Express. Gene was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Eva (Wren) Pitman and a son Walter E. Pitman and a daughter Daisy Mae Harper. Gene is survived by his daughter Ida L. (Bruce) Schnabel, a sister Martha Pitman, 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday June 21, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park North at 12 PM with calling 2 hours prior to the service.
