Edgar Lee Wheat, 94, of Greenwood, Indiana, passed away on June, 30, 2026. Edgar was born on March 22, 1932, to Willey and Katie Wheat.
Edgar served as a Ford Auto worker for 35 years. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Edgar is preceded in death by his stepson Steve Minardo; stepdaughters Sheila Hall, Katie Ham; and son Ricky Wheat. He is survived by his stepdaughter Joyce Carnes; stepson Gary Minardo Sr., and daughter Jackie Wheat; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Edgar will take place on Monday July 27 from 12:00-2:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229. Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm, then burial with military honors.
