Bobbie “Ed” Owens, born September 11, 1941, in London, Kentucky, to Robert “Bob” Owens and Martha Jane Smith, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 19, surrounded by his loving family.
Ed was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He shared 45 years of marriage with his loving wife, Rhonda Owens. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, cherished memories, and adventures along the way.
For 38 years, Ed worked as an independent agent with Allstate Insurance, building a long and successful career and many relationships throughout the years.
Outside of work, he loved fishing, gardening, playing golf, and traveling. Whether spending a peaceful day fishing, tending to his garden, enjoying time on the golf course, or traveling to new places, Ed knew how to enjoy the life he had built.
Above all, Ed’s greatest legacy is the family he loved and left behind.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Owens; his son, Brian Owens; his daughter, Nicole (Bill) Lyng; his grandsons, Zachary Bone and Nicholas Court-Owens; his granddaughter, Madison Lyng; and his sister, DeeAnn Dotson.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Robin Bone; his brother, Walter Owens; and his sisters, Jo Stephens and Sharon Day.
Ed leaves behind a lifetime of memories that his family will forever hold close. His presence will be deeply missed, but his love will live on through the family he treasured, the stories they will continue to share, and the memories that will bring smiles even through sadness.
