Earl R. Dahlberg
72, of Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011.
He was born Sept. 3, 1938, in Minneapolis, Minn. Earl served his country in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Nabisco Corp. as an operations manager after 35 years of service. Earl and his beloved wife Martha moved to Punta Gorda in 1996 from Indianapolis, Ind. He enjoyed playing in the Senior Softball League of Punta Gorda for 14 years and was fond of golfing and reading books.
Earl is deeply missed by his wife of 48 years, Martha; daughters, Teresa (Bruce) Beechler, of Indianapolis, and Cindy Baker, of Pensacola, Fla.; son, David Dahlberg, of Paragon, Ind.; sister Arline Birch; brother, Jerome (Marilyn) Dahlberg, both of Minneapolis, Minn.; and two grandchildren, Drew and Alan.
A memorial calling for Earl will be held on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, from 12 to 2 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center- Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street, a memorial service will follow calling at 2 p.m. at the funeral center.
