Duncan Goodwin, 88, of Indianapolis passed away April 5, 2011, exactly two weeks short of his 89th birthday . He served his country in the US Army during WWII and retired from the US Postal Service after 30 years of service as supervisor of mail processing equipment at the main post office in Indianapolis. Duncan attended Spearsville Church of Christ and was a member of the Lynhurst Masonic Lodge #723, Indianapolis Valley of Scottish Rite and the American Legion. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Ruth J. (Beaver) Goodwin, son G. Michael Goodwin, daughters Marcia (LJ) Lawson, Marilyn (Pat Wall) Goodwin, sister Anna M. Cole, brother Archie Goodwin, grandchildren: Aimee, David, Andrew, Crystal, Jennifer, Alex, Abby and Adam and 11 great grandchildren. His parents Andrew and Anna (Strubbe) Goodwin, brothers Andrew and Robert and daughter in law Elaine Goodwin preceded him in death.
Visitation is Friday from 4-8PM at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center – Floral Park. Funeral is Saturday at 11 AM at the funeral center.
