Dulcie Jean Benson 85, of Greenfield passed away October 8, 2012. She was born June 19, 1927 in Madison, Indiana to the late Charles and Arebell Jenkins Pender. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bud" Benson, Sr; son, Murray M. Benson; daughter, Sueann Buchanan; brothers, Robert and Earl Pender; sisters, Juliana McMasters, Margie Wright, Grace Snell, and Myrta Aldridge; grandchildren, Blair Benson and Bill Kelley; great great grandchild, Brooklyn Minier. Dulcie was a faithful member of Franklin Road Baptist Church and she was a member of the Red Hat Society. Dulcie enjoyed singing, going to social gatherings, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her sons, Harry C. III (Cheryl) Dexter MI, Robert A. Jr, and Norman "Benny" Benson (Melody), daughters, P. Dianne Smith (Jeff) Tuscon Arizona and Alice F. Benson; Mother-in-Law, Margaret L. Benson; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. Friends may call Friday, October 12, 2012 from 5pm-8pm in Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East 10722 East Washington Street. Funeral service will be Saturday October 13, 2012 at 10am in the funeral center. Burial will be in Norristown Cemetery in Shelbyville, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to Hancock Regional Hospital Hospice 801 North State Street Greenfield, IN 46140.
