Duane, of Zionsville, Indiana, was born on June 10, 1945 and passed away on January 22, 2026. Duane graduated from Borger High School in Borger, Texas (Class of 1963) and went on to earn his undergraduate degree from the University of Tulsa, later completing a master’s degree in business at Southern Nazarene University.
A proud Marine for 26 years, Duane served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Marine Corps and saw duty in Vietnam. Following his military service, he worked for the Public Service Company of Oklahoma for more than two decades and served on the City of Broken Arrow Planning and Business Development Committees. He remained active in multiple Chambers of Commerce and Rotary Clubs throughout his career.
Duane was a beloved husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Annette; his son, Steve, and his wife Tina of Zionsville, Indiana; his daughter Jennifer and her husband Tyler of Bardstown, Kentucky; and his cherished grandchildren Gavin, Madison and Otto. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
A Memorial Gathering will be on Saturday February 21, 2026 at Flanner Buchanan-Zionsville from 10am- to 11 am with a Celebration of Life and Shared Remarks beginning at 11 am. Burial will be in Zionsville Cemetery, Zionsville, Indiana.
