Carmel

Dr. Timothy (Tim) Lewis Fletchall passed away on November 11, 2023, at the age of 53 in Carmel, Indiana. Tim was born on April 13, 1970, in Indianapolis, Indiana to his loving parents, Tom and Connie Fletchall. His older siblings, Tracey and Chris welcomed him home, and his younger brother, Craig, joined their family two years later.  Growing up, Tim enjoyed playing with neighborhood friends, going to school, and playing tennis at Eastwood and North Central High School.  Many nights were also spent hitting tennis balls in the driveway of his childhood home.  Tim went on to play tennis at North Central where he was a part of three team state championships.  Tim cared deeply about his family and friends.  He also had a sense of humor that could put a smile on anyone’s face.  In high school, he dreamed of becoming a doctor because he loved helping people and making them happy.

Knowing he wanted to be a doctor led him to Indiana University in Bloomington where he received his bachelor’s of science in biology.  Tim then traveled to Gary, Indiana where he attended IU Northwest Medical School for four years.  Prior to his final year in medical school, Tim married his best friend and the love of his life, Jill Richardson on July 8, 1995. He finished his final year at IU Northwest and graduated in 1996.  After completing three years of residency at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove, Indiana, Tim fulfilled his dream of becoming a family medicine doctor and his journey to helping people had just begun.

Tim and Jill's love for one another was admired by every person they interacted with. Together, they built their dream life. Tim and Jill were blessed to raise three beautiful, smart, and caring children together: Molly Delainey, Patrick Hennegan and Ryan Lewis. They loved every minute of watching them grow, learn, love, and become the incredibly talented, successful and loving adults they are today.  When Tim and Jill weren’t cheering on their kids in baseball games or tennis matches, they enjoyed countless family getaways to their favorite vacation home in Gulf Shores, Alabama as well as many other memorable adventures together with their children . A trip to Disney World or Kings Island with them was always a favorite place to be for Tim, as well as spending Sundays with Ryan cheering on the Colts.  He just loved being with his children; whether it was playing sports, watching a movie, or playing countless card or board games, together was his favorite place to be. And we can’t forget the love that he had for his favorite four-legged kids; Lulu and Buddy.

Tim is survived by his beloved wife, Jill Richardson Fletchall, his daughter Molly Fletchall Heggeland and her husband Jake Heggeland, his sons Patrick and Ryan Fletchall, his father Thomas Fletchall and stepmother Marijon Fletchall, his aunt Sheyrl Lewis Davis, his sister Tracey Fletchall Carpentier and her husband Thomas Carpentier, their children Kelly, Megan, and Andrew, his brother Christopher Fletchall and his wife Cheri Townes Fletchall, their children Madeline and her husband Kyle Dranchak, Emily and her fiancé Kevin Scott, and Claire, his brother Craig Fletchall and his wife Amy Franklin Fletchall, and their children Natalie and Conner. In addition, he was very close to his sister-in-law Robin Lynch, brother-in-law Dave Lynch and their children Robbie and Shelby. He will also be dearly missed by his mother-in-law Julie Richardson and father-in-law Bob Richardson. He was preceded in death by his mother Connie Lewis Fletchall, his aunt Jan Lohman, and his paternal grandparents Paul and Madeline Fletchall, as well as his maternal grandparents Alma and Herbert Lewis.

Tim fulfilled his dream of becoming a doctor and SO much more.  Over the past 27 years as a family doctor, Tim has helped thousands of his patients by keeping them healthy, happy, and able to live their best lives.  He was respected by his fellow Community Health Network physicians; serving alongside them to assure the very best care for his patients. He was proud to be named an Indianapolis Monthly “Top Doc” by his peers again for 2023.  He truly loved being a family doctor because he loved seeing the whole family and watching them grow with each visit.

Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate Tim’s extraordinary life on Saturday, November 18th.  He was a cherished son, loving brother, madly adored husband, fun uncle, caring nephew, devoted father, faithful friend, and a doctor like none other.  Family will gather together at 6:30, and friends, patients, and anyone who knew and loved him are invited to share in the celebration at 7 pm with a special service at 8pm at Carmel Racquet Club.  The Carmel Racquet Club was a very special place for Tim to play his favorite sport weekly with his “tennis buddies”, as well as his kids.  In honor of Tim and his family’s two dogs, donations can be made to "Homeward Bound Animal Welfare Group".
