Dr. James Sydney Brown

James Sydney Brown 84, Indianapolis, passed away December 3, 2020. He was the son of William & Florence Brown, born August 13, 1936 in Griffin, Georgia. He attended Purdue University for undergraduate pre-medicine and Indiana University School of Medicine for post graduate studies. He was a physician, and he was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan. He is survived by son, William L Brown; daughter-in-law, Araceli Bailon; two grandchildren, Karla and Ashlee; and many nephews, nieces, and other family members.

James served in the U.S. Army and will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving father, accomplished physician, leader in the field of mental health, and philanthropist.

Graveside service and burial: 12 p.m. Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Crown Hill Cemetery. Memorial Contributions can be made to donor’s favorite charity.
