Douglas Pilkinton, 70, formerly of Carmel, passed away November 27, 2015. He was born August 3, 1945, in Emporium, PA, the son of the late Paul Gregory and Eleanor Ann (Marschke) Pilkinton.
Doug proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He retired in 2008 from Carmel Clay Schools. He was a member of St. Lukes United Methodist Church and the Carmel Masonic Lodge No. 421 F&AM;. He loved Corvettes, racing, and western novels.
He is survived by his two children, Gregory (Nagiah) Pilkinton and Martha Bracken; grandson, Zayne Pilkinton; best friend, Cheryl Pilkinton; and two cousins, Kathy Tittle and Beth Konold. He was preceded in passing by a sister, Lee Ann Pilkinton.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at Flanner and Buchanan Carmel, 325 East Carmel Drive. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.
