Douglas "Doug" Robert Hatton

Douglas “Doug” Hatton, 77 of Westfield, IN, passed away on July 10, 2022.  He was born in Shelby County, IN. to William & Jo Anne Hatton.

He enjoyed teaching at Craig Middle for 33 years. He was an avid reader, and a big fan of Butler basketball where he attended games with his family at Hinkle Fieldhouse for many years. He was a world traveler, but enjoyed trips to Hilton Head Island with his family most of all.

Doug is survived by his loving wife, Mary Lou Hatton; step sons Jeff & Tom Bedinger; grandsons Jacob & Zane Bedinger; sister Susan Stewart; nephews Jeb & Jesse Stewart; grandnieces Macie & Taylor Stewart; and grandnephew Eli Stewart.

Doug is preceded in death by his parents William & Jo Anne Hatton, and brother-in-law James Stewart.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2022, at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 100 West 86th Street, Indianapolis.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.  Arrangements were entrusted to Flanner Buchanan – Hamilton Memorial Park.
