Dorsey Lee Littrell, 92, passed away June 15, 2014 at Greenwood Village South.
He was born June 2, 1922 in Indianapolis to the late Dale and Opal (Dorsey) Littrell.
Dorsey was a 1940 graduate of George Washington High School. He had started working at Link Belt Corp. after high school, but shortly enlisted into the United States Army 104th "Timber Wolf" Infantry where he served in Germany and was honored with the Purple Heart being shot twice. He returned to Link Belt where he retired after 45 and a half years. He enjoyed golf and bowling and loved his family and friends.
Dorsey is survived by his wife, Ruth; daughter, Deanna (Max) Beaver; son, Greg Littrell; 3 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brother, Roland Littrell and sisters, Lila Lambert and Betty Gentry.
He was preceded in death by first wife, Orpha "Penny" Littrell; brother, Robert Littrell and sister, Doloris Baxter.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, 19, 2014 at Speedway Christian Church, with visitation 11:00 A.M. until service time at the church.
Entombment will follow in Floral Park Cemetery.
Flanner and Buchanan- Floral Park will be in charge of all funeral arrangements.
