Dorothy Washam

Dorothy L. Washam, 90, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away March 9, 2021. She was born in Indianapolis on July 5, 1930 to the late Maurice Paul and Elizabeth Catherine Bailey.

Dorothy worked as a supervisor for RCA for many years and later owned and operated a local tavern. She was also known in more recent years for her avid BINGO playing. The family would like to thank her granddaughter, Shannon Bear, for all of the special BINGO trips over the years!

She is preceded in death by husband David Washam; sons James (Jimmy) Jones and Doug Jones.

She is survived by sons, Mike Jones, Ronnie Jones, and Larry Jones; grandchildren, Shannon (Jones) Bear, Jimmy Jones, Alisha (Jones) Hokett, Misty (Jones) Osborn; several great grandchildren; and at least one great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be held Mon., March 15, 2021, from 12-1PM with services to begin at 1PM at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East.
