Dorothy Smith

Dorothy E. Smith, 61, of Indianapolis, passed away on November 7, 2021. Dorothy can be remembered for her kind and loving nature. She was a people person and never knew a stranger. Dorothy was strong in her faith, and lifted up those around her, even while battling pancreatic and liver cancer. She was known by those around her as a curious person, always asking questions and looking to learn new things. There wasn’t a limit to her desire to learn. Some of her favorite past times included shopping with her grandchildren, and relaxing or taking a nice nap.

She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Bill Smith; her beloved daughter, Melissa; her son-in-law David; her grandchildren, Selena, Jasmine, Brycin, Josie; and brothers and sisters, Therese (Rick), Gerald, Marie (Rob), Betts (Bobby), Tim, Mike (Cindy).

Dorothy is preceded in death by her mother, Betty; father, Daniel; and brother, Fred.
