Dorothy M Scott

75, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family on July 14, 2016. Dorothy was born on February 3, 1941 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Charles and Mildred (Wheeler) Dickerson. Dorothy worked for the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the traffic courts as an administrator and data entry for 12years, before retiring in 2003. Previously she worked in the Mission Building for the Church of Christ Disciples in Indianapolis for 15 years. She was also a graduate of Harry Wood HS and a member of the Seerley Creek Christian Church. She was a hardworking, independent woman, however it was her sense of humor and being the life of the party that will be missed most! In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Judy Grimsley. She is survived by her husband Paul D. Scott, a sister Norma Young, stepson Roy C. Scott, stepdaughter Susan Haines, a nephew Bill Dickerson, 3 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several other nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday from 12-2pm with services at 2pm Monday at Flanner and Buchanan- Floral Park. Entombment will follow the services in Floral Park Cemetery.
