Dorothy Lorree Bean

Dorothy Lorree Bean, 97 of Indianapolis passed away October 16, 2017. She was born August 3, 1920 in Skedee, Oklahoma to William Bruce and Anna Caroline Smith Walker. She moved to Indianapolis in 1956. She married Rev. Joe L. Bean and in 1962, they moved to Richmond, IN. Until they were called to Emporia, Kansas in 1969. Rev. Bean passed away in 1975 so Dorothy moved back to Indianapolis. She spent the next 30 years working for Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Centers. She was a member of Southwest Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed playing the organ and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Joe L. Bean and grandson, Richard Michael Bean, Jr. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Bill and Martha M. Bean, and Richard and Martha L. Bean, her grandchildren, Bill and Dawn, Chris and Debbie, Jason and Kim, David, Tiffany and L. Paul and Susan and Paul K., her great-grandchildren, Erin, Emily, Jessica, Jaquey, Josiah, Ethan, Abby, Peyton and Brady and great-great-grandchild, Sol.

Friends may visit with Dorothy's family from 12 pm until the service at 2 pm Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Flanner Buchanan – Decatur Township, 5463 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46221.
