Dorothy D. Krafinski

Dorothy Diane Krafinski passed away on May 16th 2026 at home with her family. 

She was the daughter of Arthur and Jacqueline Homan. She was born in Muskegon Michigan on Oct 9th,1950. After graduating high school she moved to El Paso, Texas with her parents and brothers. There she married an army officer and had two wonderful children, Peter and Kimberly. 

Surviving her is her daughter Kimberly as well as her grandkids, Andrew, Dahmanik and Peter as well as many other family members.

 She was an amazing officer's wife. The best hostess on every base we went to. In 1992 she divorced from her husband. At one point in time she was doubting whether or not she could be on her own for the first time. She then applied for job openings around the country. She found her forever home in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she had a successful career with DFAS and was well loved by all. She enjoyed time with her friends, going on trips, playing cards, or even just having dinner. 

She will be very missed by all and I know she will always be with us. 

There will be a visitation held in Dorothy's honor 1-pm Saturday May 21st with a service to follow at 4pm, all taking place at Flanner Buchanan-Geist Funeral Center.
