Dorothy Hale

DOROTHY LEAH HALE Dorothy "Dot" Hale, beloved wife of David and mother of Pat Hale, passed away on January 19, 2014 at the age of 94. Born March 29, 1919 to Henry and Mary Ritterspach in Upper Sandusky , Ohio, she was the youngest of seven children. In 1940, she and David married and had a wonderful 68 years together. Family and friends were the center of Dorothy's life. She had many friends and participated in several bridge clubs and sewing clubs. She loved gardening and always had beautiful flowers in her yard and plenty of fresh vegetables at the dinner table. She and Dave both loved golf and Dot played in a ladies golf league. In 1978 when Dave retired, they traveled many places in the U. S. as well as Europe and the Caribbean. Pat was able to join them on a number of their trips and will always have many wonderful memories of their times together. In 1992, they moved from St. Louis, MO to Avon to be close to their daughter. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her 6 brothers and sisters as well as several nieces and nephews. Dot is survived by her daughter Pat as well as nieces and nephews and special friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Sincerely, -Your friends at Flanner and Buchanan
