Dorothy Gray

Dorothy A. Gray, 92, of Westfield, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021.  A person of unbridled kindness and generosity, she will be greatly missed by loved ones and friends.

Born to the late Fedelia R. and Josiah R. Duck in Paris, IL, Dorothy entered life on January 8, 1929.  She attended DePauw University in Greencastle, IN, following graduation from Paris High School in Paris, IL.

Dorothy was employed as an executive secretary with Eli Lilly and Co. for 20 years.  She retired in 1969 and began helping her husband run GAPCO, Inc. They worked together for 16 years.

Dorothy was a member of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, American Legion, Eagles Lodge and the Red Hat Society.

A 10:30 funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, June 18 at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Carmel, IN.  Friends and family are encouraged to gather from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Graveside services will be held at 1pm at New Ross Cemetery in New Ross, IN.

Dorothy was the widow of Rufus S. Gray.  She is survived by her son, Anthony R. Gray; grandson, A.J. Gray; stepchildren, Gary (wife, Cheryl) Gray, Janice (husband, Bill) Nordsiek, Tim (wife, Nancy) Gray; step grandchildren; Bill Nordsiek III, Greg Nordsiek, Melissa Nordsiek (deceased), Tom Gray and Jennifer (Gray) Bowersock.
