Dorothy Elaine Livengood

Dorothy Elaine Livengood, 92, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2014. She was born on May 3, 1921 in Peru, IN to Willard D. and Hazel Marie Smith. Dorothy enjoyed traveling with her husband, Robert. Together they enjoyed spending winters in Florida and camping at Lake Monroe. As a longtime member of West Morris St. Free Methodist Church, she enjoyed time spent with the SCAMPS group. Most importantly, Dorothy loved her family. She is survived by her daughters, Diana Farmer, Joyce (Jay) Stewart, Mollie Wood, Rita Livengood; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Dorothy is also survived by her brother, Richard "Dick" Smith of Peru, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Robert Livengood; 4 siblings; and son-in-law, Jim Farmer. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 14, 2014 at Flanner and Buchanan – Speedway from 5 to 7pm. Funeral services will take place on Saturday morning at 11am at West Morris St. Free Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be given to the West Morris St. Free Methodist Church.
