Dorothea Wheeler

Dorothea B. Wheeler, 100, formerly of Indianapolis, took her last earthly breath Monday, March 21, 2011 joining her beloved husband Bob (Robert A.) who went to be with their Lord in 1973. Also preceding her in death were her brother Oris and sister Glenna Beaver. Her many nieces and nephews some calling her "Aunt Belle", neighbors and close friends join in celebration of a devoted Christian's life well-lived. During her working years Mrs. Wheeler was employed by Real Silk Hosiery Mills and William H. Block Company, there as Assistant Secretary in Men's Merchandise. For many years, she was active in her beloved church, East 91st Christian, and Shepherd Community. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to East 91st Street Christian Church or the American Red Cross. The funeral service is at noon on Friday, March 25th at East 91st Street Christian Church with visitation beginning at 10am. Interment at Oaklawn Cemetery.
