Doris Ritchie

Doris Harriett Sheets Ritchie, 87, of Zionsville, died May 30, 2011. Mrs. Ritchie was born February 28, 1924 in Zionsville, IN to the late James William and Elizabeth Ellen Whitson Sheets. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Ritchie; her siblings, William, Marion, and George Sheets, Linnie Krinhop, Edith Hicks, Josephine Hicks, and Mary Ellen Stowers. Mrs. Ritchie was retired from Sheraton Hotels and formerly worked as a lab technician at Pitmann Moore in Zionsville. She was a 1942 graduate of Zionsville High School and a former member of the Zionsville United Methodist Church. Surviving Mrs. Ritchie are her son, Phil Ritchie (Teresa) and her daughter, Karen Stierer; her grandchildren, Jeremy, Jennifer, Aaron, Austin, Patrick, and 11 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Friday, June 3, 2011 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center, Zionsville. A funeral service will be 10 am Saturday, June 4, 2011 also at the funeral center. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
