Doris Irene (Zook) Biddle

Doris Irene “Zook” Biddle, also known as “Grandma Bud,” 96, of Greenwood, passed from this life on December 19, 2023. She was born May 15th , 1927, in Lawrence, Indiana, to her parents Roy and Jeanette Zook. Doris was the middle child of 14 siblings.

She married the love of her life, Robert Ira Biddle, on May 20, 1944. He preceded her in death in 1979. They shared many wonderful years with their two sons Robert and Jesse Biddle.

Doris was employed by RCA for 28 years. She retired in 1985. She loved to sew, crochet and quilt. She was also an avid bowler.

She is survived by her sons Robert Biddle, Jesse (Barbara) Biddle. Her 4 Grandchildren Robin (Mike) Jones, Brian Biddle, J.W. Biddle, and Christy (Kevin) Thompson. 13 Great Grandchildren. 17 Great -Great Grandchildren and 1 Great -Great -Great Grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her Daughter in Law, Sandy Biddle (2003) and Granddaughter, Kelly Biddle (2004).

Visitation for Doris will be Tuesday December 26th, at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East from 1-3pm; her funeral will begin at 3:00pm. She will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
