Doris Ilene Davis Hall, 82 of Indianapolis, IN went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in Heaven July 5, 2015. She was a longtime resident of Franklin Township in Indianapolis. She was born January 9, 1933 in Walkerton, Indiana to the late Russell and Mary (McCan) Davis. She married James Cecil Hall July 3, 1953 and he preceded her in death in 2000. She was a Salad Cook for the Altenheim Community retiring in 1996.Doris was also a licensed Beautician, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Acton, IN and attended Southeast Baptist Tabernacle. Some of her greatest joys were sewing, cross-stitching, the beach, swimming, humming birds and finches, gardening and most of all her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Judy Hall of Greencastle, IN, Beverly Hall, Ilene (Jon) Mosier, Cynthia (Steve) Craft all of Indianapolis, IN, Wanda Hall of Evansville, IN, sister-in-law, Cora Davis of Indianapolis, 15 grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Besides her parents and her husband she is also preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Surber, Helen Bowling and brother Devon Davis. Services will be Friday July 10, 2015 11 AM at Flanner and Buchanan-Decatur Township with visitation there Thursday, July 9th 4-8 PM. Burial will be at West Newton Cemetery.
