Doris Gates Perdue

Doris Gates Perdue 94, of Danville, Indiana, formerly of Indianapolis, died August 31, 2010. Doris was born January 10, 1916 in Huntington, West Virginia to Clarence E. and Georgia (Hagar) Gates. Doris married Raymond John Perdue on December 25, 1932 in Lavalette, West Virginia. Mr. Perdue preceded her in death along with a grandchild Melanie Lynne Perdue Ortiz. Doris is survived by her children, Carol (Harold Eugene) Middleton, Raymond Glenn (Dorothy Pauline) Perdue and Loundle Joe (Alice) Perdue; and her grandchildren, John Powers (Cheryl) Perdue, Elden Glenn (deceased; Catherine) Perdue, Edward Eugene Middleton, Suann (Dr. Vernon) Sondak; nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, September 3, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center Washington Park North, 2706 Kessler Blvd. West Drive, Indianapolis, Indiana 46228. No calling is scheduled. Inurnment and graveside services will be held Sunday, September 5, 2010 at 12:30 p.m. in Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Wayne West Virginia.
