Doris Freeman Gargula
83, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 6, 2016. Doris was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. She spent her time raising six children, and then spoiling her thirteen grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, swimming, traveling and cooking for family and friends. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor, cheerful disposition and the many wonderful memories she created for her family at the annual family gatherings she hosted. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lena and Tracy Freman; husband, Clement Gargula; son, Paul Gargula; brother, Eldon Freeman and sister, Jeanette Brown. Survivors include her children, Carl (Jan) Gargula, Mark (Nancy) Gargula, Monica (Eric) Johengen, John (Karen) Gargula, Micheal (Ann) Gargula and daughter-in-law Janice Gargula; grandchildren, John Gargula, Mark Gargula, Jennifer Gargula Chesnick, Chris Gargula, Peter Gargula, Michael Gargula, Sarah Gargula, Daniel Gargula, Matt Johengen, Aaron Johengen, Lauren Johengen, Mary Gargula and Catherine Gargula; brothers, Ralph Freeman and Wayne Freeman. Services will be Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 4 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan-Broad Ripple. Visitation will follow the service at the funeral center.
