Donola 'Donnie' Orr

Donola "Donnie" B. Orr, 79, Carmel, passed away January 24, 2015. She was born September 4, 1935, in Vallonia, IN, the daughter of the late James M. and Juanita M. (Wiggins) Burcham. She married Dr. William "Bill" H. Orr, who preceded her in passing on October 19, 2014, after 30 years of marriage. Donnie was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School, and was an active member of the Alumni Association and Tech Guys and Gals. She retired after more than 30 years as an executive secretary from AT&T. She was an accomplished cook and enjoyed shopping, crafts, traveling, and spending the winter months in Florida, but her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Robert J. Settle, II (wife, Mary) and Gregory J. Settle (wife, Kathrina); stepchildren, Goehrig Orr (wife, Betty), Barron Orr, Elise Orr and Wade Orr (wife, Patricia); six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Siblings preceding her in passing included Robert Burcham, Shirley Huber, Larry Burcham and Jimmie Burcham. She is survived by her sister, Marilyn Willis (husband, Frank). Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2015, at Flanner and Buchanan – Carmel, 325 East Carmel Drive. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
