Addendum to Donna’s Obituary – from Robyn and Mark:

In the final month of her life, Mom could have used a social coordinator to manage the constant flow of visitors, phone and Zoom calls, and texts. These weren’t quick check-ins—they were meaningful, often hours-long conversations with friends and family from New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Florida, Indiana, and beyond.

Her outlook remained deeply inspirational. She was at peace and ready to be called home by our Lord. Even in her final days, she did not fear death. Instead, she focused on others—thinking about Easter gifts for her grandchildren and making sure everyone around her felt comfortable, cared for, and connected.

On Easter, with her family gathered in one room, she shared the following guidance:

  • Be kind to yourself.
  • Be kind to each other.
    • Daily:
      • - Ask God for forgiveness—and forgive yourself.
      • - Be grateful for all God has given us—for our blessings, and for our family and friends.
      • - Tell God, your family, and your friends that you love them.
  • Smile often.
  • Put one step in front of the other and show up—that’s most of the battle.

“We are all better people for having had Donna in our lives” is a sentiment we have heard repeatedly since her passing.

Now, she lives on in Heaven, reunited with those who went before her.
