Donna Louise Miller Woody

Donna Louise Miller Woody, 88, of Plainfield, passed away peacefully June 27^th, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was born January 9^th, 1933, in Indianapolis, to parents Paul and Helen (Kestler) Weilhammer.

She graduated from St. Mary’s High School.

Donna married Charles F. Miller. Together they had five children and shared 18 wonderful years together. Charles passed away in 1969.

Later, Donna married Orville Woody in Honolulu, Hawaii. They shared 44 happy years together. Orville passed away in 2018.

She worked for many years at Indianapolis Bell, and later at Public Service of Indianapolis (Duke Energy), where she retired. Soon after, Donna went back to work as a real estate agent for Coldwell Banker Prestwick Reality, a job she excelled at and enjoyed.

For many years, Donna was a member of St. Suzanna’s Catholic Church. She was also valued member of Kappa Kappa Kappa Sorority, a longstanding bridge club, and the local Elks Club.

Donna was a hardworking, fun-loving woman. She loved attending the horse races, cheering for Notre Dame Football, and snacking on Hershey’s candies. Donna enjoyed traveling and loved being by the ocean. She and Orville loved vacationing to their condo in Florida, where she could relax with a cocktail by the water. Her family and friends will remember her by her loving disposition, bright smile, and her famous lasagna.

Donna is survived by her children Pam (Stan) Walton, Paula Rieger, Mark Miller (SanDee), Mike Miller (Julie), Patti Miller and stepson Brent Woody (Pamela); grandchildren Todd, Troy, Megan, Amber, Abby, Jenna, and four step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her siblings Dede Eaton, Larry Weilhammer, and Kathy Nesbit; and several nephews

Besides her parents, Donna is preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Miller and Orville Woody; and her stepson Tom Woody.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial contribution to The Alzheimer’s Association in Donna’s honor.

She will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date.
