Donna Jean Backofen

Donna Jean Backofen, 89, Noblesville, passed away April 30, 2016. She was born October 22, 1926, in Fort Wayne, the daughter of the late Russell and Bessie (Lord) Cowan. She married Eugene Backofen, who preceded her in passing on December 30, 2007.

Donna retired as a computer programmer with Dana Corp. She was a past Indiana Squadron Commander of the Navy Club Auxiliary and was very active in the Meredith Meadows community.

She is survived by her loving two children, Bruce (Judy Schulz) Backofen and Darla (Jay) Malott; six grandchildren, Laurie Sanders, Chris Backofen, Erin Hopkins, Brad Backofen, Shannon Malott, Jordan Huffman; seven great grandchildren, Zack, Brooke, Caden, Alayna, Braxton, Case, Cruz; and a great-great grandson, Brayden.
