Indianapolis

Indianapolis, Indiana – Donna Gray Davis, 76, passed away on April 12, 2026. A spitfire of a woman, Donna’s laughter, smile, and joy will be forever missed.

Donna was born on May 27, 1949, to parents Daniel & Muriel (Butler) Williams in Ferguson, Missouri. She attended and graduated from Valley High School in Missouri, and attended Clark College in Indiana. She worked as a job-setter for twenty years at Ford Motor Company until her retirement.

Most importantly, Donna was blessed with people who loved her. She and Jerry Gray were married young, in 1964, and celebrated 38 years of marriage before his passing 2002. They raised 6 children together. A few years after Jerry’s passing, Donna was blessed to meet another wonderful man, Philip Davis, and they celebrated 18 years of marriage before her passing.

Donna loved life and enjoyed seeing the world. She and Philip would take cruises every chance they could and when younger, would go camping together. She could also be found enjoying the slot machines at a local casino but most importantly, spending time with her family.

Donna is preceded in death by her first husband, Jerry Gray; daughter Tina Glasscock (Bobby); and siblings Eugene Williams, Raymond Williams, Norman Williams, Lena May Pruitt, and Gladys Bridges.

She is survived by her husband Philip Davis; children Vicky McClain (Mike), Jerry Gray Jr. (Katrina), Regina Lime (Scott), Theresa Rieckhoff (Juergen), Lisa Duncan (Mike), Billy Gray, Rick Surack (Rebecca); sister Vivien Brockman; as well as 32 grandchildren and 74 great-grandchildren.
