Donn R. Brace

Donn was born in Waukegan, IL on October 27, 1929 to the late Dr. Clifford C. and Ruth S. Brace.  He grew up in Maywood, IL and graduated from Proviso Township High School.  He came to Indianapolis from Chicago after serving in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and graduating from the University of Illinois in 1955.  He worked for the Department of Defense Contract Administration Services and Allison Gas Turbine as an engineer.  Also, he worked part time for Coram Healthcare.  He enjoyed house and car repair, gardening, and building models.  He was a member of Englewood Lodge #715, Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine Oriental Band, Royal Order of Jesters, and the Clermont Lions Club.  He was a member of Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ.  He was predeceased by his wife, Helen M. Brace.  He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia A. (Jim) Keeler, and son, Steven R. (Leann) Brace, seven grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.  Visitation will be at Washington Park North on Saturday, April 30^th from 10:00-11:00 am with a Masonic Ceremony starting at 10:45am and a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00am.
