Donald Walter St. Peters, 87, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on April 24, 2024, with his family by his side. He was born on December 25, 1936, in East Alton, Illinois, to parents, Donald A. and Dorothy (Collins) St. Peters.

In 1958, Don married the love of his life, Gerry (Vollmer) St. Peters and shared 65 years together.

A graduate of St. Louis University in 1958, Don was a member of the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity. 50 years after his graduation, he was honored as a Golden Billiken. Later, he went on to establish St. Peters Sales Agency Inc. in 1971, eventually retired in 2012, leaving the business in the capable hands of his eldest son.

Don was active with his four Eagle Scout sons in their scouting and sports activities. A devout man of faith and past President of St. Lawrence’s Holy Name Society, he passed his faith to his sons, all of whom followed in his footsteps by attending St. Lawrence School and Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School.

Don enjoyed golf and was also a member of the St. Lawrence Golf League. He was very proud to have shot a hole in one at Valle Vista #17. He could always be found attending every type of sporting event in Indianapolis and had been a season ticket holder for the Colts and Pacers since 2003.

He was a State Board member of The Garden Club of Indiana, Inc., a member of Fort Benjamin’s Blossoms Garden Club where he enjoyed the desserts, and a member of Knights of Columbus the Fourth Degree, as a past Faithful Navigator in Alton, Illinois. He also enjoyed water aerobics at the YMCA, where he referred to the group as his harem.

Don is survived by his loving wife, Geraldine “Gerry” St. Peters; sons, Donald J., Jeffrey V. (Peggy), Stephen A., and Douglas E. St. Peters; grandchildren, Donald C., Jason, Brandon, Ryan, Sarah, Dominic, and Courtney St. Peters; step grand daughter, Dakota Doran; great grandchildren, Alison, Claire, and Charlie St. Peters; and siblings, Darlene Watts, Dale, Doug, and Danelle St. Peters.
